America Needs Fatima, held on the second Saturday in October, is an outside Rosary in honor of the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima and the Miracle of the Sun (October 13, 1917).
Candlelight Living Rosary/Pot Luck Dinner celebrates the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary (October 7th). Each participant takes the place of one of the beads of the Rosary and recites his/her respective prayer. The Rosary is followed by a delicious pot-luck supper.
Our Annual Craft Fair is a great way to begin your Holiday shopping! It is always held on the 2nd Saturday in November and features many crafts, jewelry, and other unique items from vendors. In addition, you have the opportunity to take a chance on one of our many terrific raffle items! Support your parish by becoming a vendor and by shopping at this annual fundraiser.
Divine Mercy Sunday (first Sunday after Easter) is celebrated with a special service whereby the Divine Mercy Chaplet is sung by the participants of the service.
Grounds Clean-Up consists of spring/fall church and grounds landscaping.
The Jack Macksey Memorial Golf Tournament and Dinner and Raffle is held in September. This event has been held for the past 30 years and is a successful fundraising event in the parish. The committee collects raffle and tee sponsorships, organizes volunteers, and runs the tournament, raffle, and dinner.
Our Annual Memorial Mass of the Guardian Angels is held in October on the Feast of the Guardian Angels. Parents, relatives, and friends who have suffered the loss of a child are invited to join us as we celebrate their lives before God at the Eucharist.
Men’s Retreat takes place annually at the Holy Family Retreat Center in West Hartford, CT and is a time of reflection, prayer, and support.
Shakespeare Play and English Low Tea: St. Scholastica’s Shakespearean Players, a group of children ages 4-19, perform one of Shakespeare’s plays each June. After the performance, the cast and audience enjoy an English Low Tea. This production is open to any child who would like to join the cast or work behind the scenes.
St. Patrick’s Day Dinner is a parish favorite. It features a delicious Irish dinner accompanied by a DJ, Irish step dancers, and fun sing-a-longs.
Tag Sale takes place in September and is a good opportunity to clean out your basement and take home lots of new treasures.
